Matrix Reservoir to invest RM200mil in Tok Bali phase 2

KUALA LUMPUR: Matrix Reservoir Sdn Bhd will further invest RM200mil over the next three years in the development of the Tok Bali oil and gas supply base and industrial cluster, said chairman Tengku Datuk Mohamad Rizam.

He said the Tok Bali supply base would create 350 jobs and it was expected to have many multiplier effects on the industry as well as other jobs related to oil and gas.

“The Tok Bali Oil and Gas Supply Base, which is the third supply base licensed by Petronas in Malaysia, has completed its phase one development and is in full operational stage now.

“The all-weather 500m wharf that provides berthing for five vessels has been in active utilisation,” he said in a statement yesterday.

The company is currently undertaking work for the phase two development to cater to the needs of the other oil and gas companies and service providers who will be undertaking their operations from the Tok Bali supply base for the development and continued long-term drilling campaign in the northern offshore Peninsular Malaysia area, chief executive officer Haida Shenny Hazri said.

Last week, the company entered into a memorandum of understanding with the East Coast Economic Region Development Council on collaboration in the further development of the Tok Bali oil and gas supply base and industrial cluster.
